Filters & Filtration Media

At CatchBasinFilter.com we provide simple and effective water filtration media options for your specific needs:

The filtration media should be exposed to constant intake of water flow.  The filter should be directed or exposed to 95% of water flow within the catch basin.  The dynamic flow of the water and the Static Adsorbtion of the filtration media will draw out and hold the TSS " Total Suspended Solids" in the water.  This known as the "First Flush" process at or near the water source.   It is important to position the catch basin filter at the top of the catch basin not the bottom; where water entry can be cleaned with more certainty and additional filters in the bottom of the catch basin for added filtration and water exposure.  Don't be fooled by filters which have very little (less than 50%) hydrostatic filtration media in the filter bag.

Industrial/commercial heavy metal 3 media catch basin filters are available and can be custom fabricated to meet your needs.  Heavy metal filters are a combination of perlite, zeolite and usually GAC.  Contact us for more information.
